This afternoon I got the tragic news that my sister-in law’s mom had been killed in a horrible car accident by some thieves that were fleeing from the police. Nothing, absolutely nothing can prepare you for such terrible pain. It’s in time like these that we need to hang on to our faith more than ever, even when we don’t understand. I chose to reblog this because Maddilowe can put a voice to what I am feeling. Thank you in advance for your prayers for the Hernandez/Solares family.


I hear this question asked all the time. Why do bad things happen to good people? The answer is simple, however knowing the answer and trusting it are two completely different things. Obviously bad things happen because of sin in the world. As believers we know that everything, and I mean everything happens for a reason. That’s easier advice to give when it applies to other people’s lives. But when you are put in those situations it is so much harder to see the big picture. Trusting God with everything is so much harder than it seems. It’s okay to question God and ask Him why certain things happen in your life. He may not answer right away but eventually you’ll see the bigger picture and understand why you went through whatever it was you went through.
