I also think this a good idea. I have tried it a few times and found it helpful. I plan to get into it more in the immediate future (my husband is also doing it). I have heard Jung speak on the subject, but was not sure it was for me because I am diabetic. I have always been told that I must not fast because my glucose would drop too far and I would be in trouble. However, I have tried fasting just 15-16 hours and found I have no trouble with my readings for this length of time. For me, fasting 15-16 hours means that my last food intake would be around 6pm, then I would not eat until 10 or 11 am the next day. If I do this, I also find that eating low carb permits me to eat just 2 meals per day. With my first meal at 10 or 11am being so close to noon, I would not eat again until the evening meal. Anyway, I see that it works and I am trying it more and more. I think this didn't work in the past because I was not on low carb, therefore the carbs that I ate in a normal American diet just wouldn't hold my blood sugar numbers at an even level to permit it.
