In fact, these keto-friendly Christmas desserts are so yummy that even those not doing keto will enjoy them! Now, that’s a holiday win if you ask me!

Sugar- Substitute Options

The foundation for any keto dessert is the sweetener you’ll use. Here are some of my favorite options. Note that each recipe lists my best recommendations and my reason for it.
My two favorite brands for granulated sugar substitutes are Lakanto Monk Fruit and Swerve. You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Pyure.
But if using Pyure you will want to use half the amount called for in this recipe since it’s a much sweeter option. Lastly, if you can’t easily find a more natural sugar substitute, you can also use Splenda.
You will want to use the Splenda that has a bulking agent. It’s the one that comes in larger bags.
I don’t recommend Splenda Bake because it’s actually a half sugar, half sucralose product and will be too high in carbs to be considered keto-friendly.
And when a recipe calls for a brown sugar substitute, well, these brands all work well: I love both Lankanto’s brown sugar substitute and their golden sugar-free substitute.
I’m also partial to Swerve brown sugar, which is an erythritol blend. Similar to Lakanto, it uses sugar alcohols and has 0% impact on blood sugar. Another delicious brown sugar substitute is Surkin Gold
You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Truvia Sweet Complete Brown Sweetener with the Stevia Leaf if you prefer to use a stevia-based sweetener.

But if you use a stevia blend note that it will be twice as sweet so you will need to reduce the amount called for in the recipe by half.
When it comes to creating icings and frostings, you’ll need to use a confectioner’s sugar substitute. Both Lakanto and Swerve have great ones.
