Keto Lime Cookies
Now, I don’t know about you but I love citrus in desserts! Well, truthfully I love citrus in any way. But there’s something extra special about citrus or in this case lime in desserts.
I find it really amplifies the flavor and the tartness is a great balance to the sweetness. I also find that it’s great in keto baking especially because it cancels any aftertaste from sugar substitutes.
After falling in love with our keto lemon cookies and then our keto orange cookies, I knew we needed a lime one too! And boy am I happy I made these!
What really makes these nut-free keto lime cookies extra special is the sugar-free lime glaze on top of the cookies.
The glaze gives the perfect boost of sweetness and fresh citrus burst to take these keto cookies to the next level.
You might be surprised to see how quickly these gluten-free lime cookies will disappear from gatherings or from the cooling rack. Even your non-keto friends and family are sure to love these cookies!
How To Make Low Carb Lime Cookies
Making these keto coconut lime cookies is really very simple and barely any work at all. I think we can all appreciate that!
First, you’ll combine your coconut flour, baking powder, and salt and set the mixture aside. Then in a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, cream cheese, sugar substitute, lime zest, and lime extract.
Next, you’ll add eggs in one at a time, making sure to combine well before each addition. Then combine your wet and dry ingredients well and chill the dough for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
Once your dough has chilled, use a cookie scoop, or spoon to scoop the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Slightly press the dough with the back of your scoop or spoon to flatten a little.
Place your keto lime cookies in the oven and enjoy the amazing smell that fills your kitchen.
While your low-carb lime cookies bake you can make the keto glaze. Simply combine the sugar-free confectioner’s sweetener, lime juice, lime extract, lime zest, and heavy whipping cream in a small bowl.
Drizzle over your cookies once they’ve cooled and enjoy your fresh and fragrant sugar-free lime cookies!

Best Sugar Substitutes For Keto Lime Cookies
As far as choosing your sweetener, my top choice is a monk fruit/erythritol blend. My personal favorite is Lakanto’s brand. But you can also use Swerve an erythritol sugar substitute.
Would you like to save this?
You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Pyure for most of my baked goods.
However, if using Pyure, you will want to use half the amount called for in this recipe since it’s a much sweeter choice.
Lastly, if you can’t easily find a more natural sugar substitute, you can also use Splenda for baking or a generic brand of the same. It will work with great success.
I know not everyone would agree with me here and I respect that but in my book, it’s still better than regular sugar.
