Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet on the stovetop over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.

Then add the shrimp and season it with salt and pepper. Sauté the shrimp for a minute and add the dry white wine and lemon juice before simmering for a minute or two on both sides.

Turn off the stove and add the parmesan cheese and toss the shrimp well. Garnish with the chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes if adding, and serve hot.
