These keto peanut butter fat bombs only take a little effort to make, and that’s what really makes them one of my favorites.
It’s really just a matter of beating the room-temperature cream cheese and butter together until fluffy and then adding in your sweetener, coconut oil, and sugar-free peanut butter.
It’s important when using coconut oil to use refined coconut oil, such as Nutiva Refined Coconut Oil so that it doesn’t add a coconut flavor to what you’re making. Unless, of course, you want the coconut flavor.
Then add the mixture to your 1” cavity mold using a piping bag. If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use the sandwich bag trick. All you need to do is add your mixture to a sandwich bag and cut off the very tip of the bag.
Then you’ll pop your molds into the freezer for 20 minutes or so to solidify and enjoy!
If you don’t have the 1” silicone molds, you can refrigerate your fat bomb mixture for about 20 minutes until it firms up, and then scoop it onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet using a small cookie scoop.
You can then place the fat bombs in the freezer to solidify.
I recommend you store your fat bombs in an airtight container in your freezer as they will soften at room temperature.
Why Eat Fat Bombs?
You might be wondering why you should even be adding fat bombs to your diet (it sounds strange, I know).
Well, if you are already following a low-carb keto diet, you most likely already understand that your main source of energy should be coming from fat.
However, if you’re new to the low-carb, high-fat lifestyle, adding fat to your diet, especially in the form of fat bombs, may seem very weird to you.
In a keto diet, the main goal is to reduce your carbs and raise healthy fat intake so that you can enter ketosis and burn fat for fuel.
A true keto diet’s macros are usually in the range of 75% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbs.
A lot of people like to track all of their meals to be sure they stay within their macros, while others simply let their hunger guide them or keep a running tab in their minds.
I recommend you test what macros work best for you, and if you decide to track them, see how your body reacts because every person is different.
So by adding more healthy fats into your keto diet, you can keep your appetite and cravings in check, have more energy, keep sugar cravings to a minimum, and much more!
This is why keto fat bombs could be the answer you’ve been looking for to stop craving sugar. Fat bombs provide healthy fats to satisfy your sweet tooth without carbs and no sugar!
Don’t Mix High-Fat Foods With High Carbs
Now that you know why you might want to make keto fat bombs, here’s why you should be careful when doing so.
If you want to start adding extra healthy fat to your diet, it’s very important that you understand that you must also reduce your carbohydrate intake.
I can’t stress enough that adding more fat, such as fat bombs, to a traditional diet that is high in carbs is a big no-no.
Would you like to save this?
Why, you might ask? High fat and high carbs should never co-exist. It’s a recipe for disaster. It’s why junk food is so bad for our health.
The reason is that it’s the carbs that make your body store fat. Dietary fat alone is not the culprit.
When carbs and fat are combined, you will not gain the benefits of burning fat for fuel. Instead, you will find yourself packing on some extra, unwanted pounds.
So do yourself a favor and be sure you are following a ketogenic, low-carb diet before adding fat bombs to your diet.
When you’re ready to add fat to your diet, I’ve created several fat-bomb recipes for you that are easy to whip together, and I’m sure you will love these too!

Best Sugar-Substitutes For These Keto Peanut Butter Fat Bombs With Cream Cheese
I have several sugar substitutes you can use when making these keto cheesecake fat bombs. If you’re looking for a sweetener that reminds you of real sugar, I’d recommend you try Lakanto Monk Fruit.
It’s hands-down my favorite sugar substitute.
The texture of this all-natural sweetener is spot on, plus it barely has an aftertaste. I’m also partial to Swerve, which is an erythritol blend.
You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Pyure here with good results. Lastly, if you can’t easily find a more natural sugar substitute, you can also use Splenda with great success.
I just don’t recommend any liquid sweeteners because I find they tend to crystallize when frozen.

Could I use avocado oil instead of coconut or ghee?

Hi Brandy, I don't recommend avocado since it stays liquid and doesn't solidify.
