How To Make Fat Bombs With Cream Cheese
These cream cheese fat bombs are easy, no-bake, and only take a few minutes to whip up. They also only require a few ingredients.
They’re not quite three-ingredient fat bombs, but they’re pretty close! That’s why I think they’re one of the best keto fat bombs!
If you’re worried about key limes not being available or in season in your area, I’ve got a secret to share with you.
Regular limes will work just as well, and no one will notice! So you can pretend it’s summer all year round and enjoy your key lime cheesecake fat bombs!
These easy fat bombs come together so quickly.
It’s just a matter of beating the room-temperature cream cheese and butter together until fluffy and then adding in your sweetener, vanilla extract, coconut oil, and key lime juice. That’s it!

Once it’s all combined, you’ll add your mixture to a piping bag (or use the old “sandwich bag with the tip snipped off” trick) and pipe into a 1” cavity mold, pop them in the freezer for about 30 minutes, and enjoy!
If you don’t have a mold, you can refrigerate your fat bomb mixture for about 20 minutes until it firms up and then scoop it onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet using a small cookie scoop.
Then, just place the fat bombs in the freezer to solidify. I recommend you store your fat bombs in an airtight container in your freezer, as they will soften at room temperature.
Why Eat Fat Bombs?
You may be asking why you should consider adding cheesecake fat bombs to your diet.
Well, if you’re following a low-carb keto diet, chances are you probably already understand that your main source of energy should come from fat.
But if you are new to this lifestyle, adding fat to your diet as fat bombs may seem odd to you.
In a keto diet, the main goal is to reduce your carbs drastically and raise your healthy fat intake so that you can enter ketosis and burn fat for fuel.
A true ketogenic diet’s macros are close to 75% fat, 20% protein, and 5% carbs. Some people track every macro, and others simply let their hunger guide them.
I recommend you test what macros work best for you and see how your body reacts since everyone is different.
By adding more healthy fats to your diet, you can keep your appetite in check, gain more energy, keep sugar cravings to a minimum, and much more!
This is why keto fat bombs could be your answer to how to stop craving sugar. Fat bombs provide healthy fats to satisfy your sweet tooth without carbs and sugar!
Fat bombs can also be an effective tool in raising your ketone levels. Because when your body burns fat for fuel instead of glucose, it’s important to have enough dietary fat in your diet.
If you don’t have enough fat to fuel your metabolism, you can experience a stall or decrease in ketone levels.
Being in ketosis is the goal when doing a ketogenic diet because when your ketone levels are elevated, your appetite drastically reduces.
This is why easy fat bombs are a perfect (and delicious!) addition to your keto lifestyle; you can have more ketones and indulge in a cheesecake treat; what’s not to love?
Don’t Mix High-Fat Foods With High Carbs
If you want to include fat bombs in your diet, you need to also reduce your carbohydrate intake.
Would you like to save this?
I can not stress this enough. Adding extra fat, such as fat bombs for keto, to a traditional diet high in carbs can spell disaster.
Why do you ask? Because high fat and high carbs should never co-exist. It’s a recipe for disaster. This is why junk food is so detrimental to our health.
You see, it’s the carbs that make your body store the fat. Dietary fat alone is not a bad guy. When carbs and fat are combined, you will not gain the benefits of burning fat for fuel.
Instead, you will find yourself packing on some extra unwanted pounds.
So do yourself a favor and be sure you are following a keto, low-carb diet before thinking of adding fat bombs to your diet.
When you’re ready to add fat to your diet, I’ve created several fat-bomb recipes for you that are easy to whip together. I hope you will take a look at these, too.

Best Sugar-Substitutes For Cream Cheese Fat Bombs
I have several sugar substitutes you can use when making these keto cheesecake fat bombs. If you’re looking for a sweetener that reminds you of real sugar, I’d recommend you try Lakanto Monk Fruit.
The texture of this all-natural sweetener is spot on, plus it barely has an aftertaste. I’m also partial to Swerve, which is an erythritol blend.
You could also use the stevia and erythritol-based brand Pyure here with good results. Lastly, if you can’t easily find a more natural sugar substitute, you can also use Splenda with great success.
I just don’t recommend any liquid sweeteners because I find they tend to crystallize when frozen.

Any suggestions for what the coconut oil could be substituted with? I'm allergic to coconut, but these sound so good, otherwise.

Hi Bethany, You could use just butter or ghee.

Made these and they are delicious. I know it's not a purest keto twist but as I calculate macros its within what I need. What helps me stay strong is enjoying favorites. My mold cups ended up with 24 bombs. I sprinkled 1 Tbsp graham cracker crumbs over them for a .3 gram carb incease per bomb. I have room for .3 for the added feel/flavor of the crust in my key lime.

I made this today - I made 28 but my macros are saying that each one is 2.7g of carbs each. What did I do wrong?

Hi Andrea, Are you adding the sugar substitute into the macros? It's common knowledge that those are not calculated since it has zero glycemic impact.
